An Audio Guestbook Isn't Just for Weddings
When most people hear "audio guestbook," they immediately think of weddings.
And yes, weddings are one of our favorite places to bring our vintage phones. But that's definitely not where the fun ends.
An audio guestbook can work for almost any event where you want people to leave messages, stories, advice, or well wishes. Here are five of our favorite ways to use one beyond a wedding:

1. Bridal & Baby Showers
Instead of having everyone sign a traditional guestbook at a shower, let them leave a voice message.
For a bridal shower, guests can share marriage advice, tell a story about the bride, or leave a message for the couple to listen to before their wedding.
For a baby shower, guests could leave messages for the baby to listen to when they're older.
Imagine your child hearing recordings of their grandparents, aunts, uncles, and parents from before they were even born.
That's a pretty incredible keepsake.
2. Milestone Birthdays
Turning 30? 40? 50? 75?
Milestone birthdays are perfect for an audio guestbook because you can ask guests to tell stories from different chapters of someone's life. Try prompts like:
"What's your favorite memory with the birthday girl?"
"What advice would you give your younger self?"
"Tell us a story they probably don't remember."
We're guessing the last one could get interesting.
3. Anniversaries
An anniversary is essentially a celebration of a love story, which makes it a natural fit for an audio guestbook. Ask family and friends to share memories from the couple's relationship, offer advice, or simply leave them a message celebrating another year together. For a major milestone anniversary, you could even ask guests to share their favorite memories from the couple's wedding.

4. Corporate Events & Company Celebrations
An audio guestbook can also be a fun addition to corporate events.
Consider using one at:
Retirement parties
Holiday parties
Team celebrations
Grand openings
Conferences
Employee appreciation events
Instead of another generic photo booth, an audio guestbook gives employees and guests something they can interact with, and gives the company a collection of authentic messages from the people who were there.
5. Celebrations of Life
This is perhaps one of the most meaningful ways to use an audio guestbook.
At a celebration of life or memorial service, an audio guestbook can give friends and family an opportunity to share memories and stories in their own voices. Written memories are beautiful, but hearing someone's voice tell a story about a loved one can be incredibly powerful. It creates a collection of memories that families can return to for years.
Your Event Doesn't Have to Be a Wedding
At Antique Audio, we love weddings, but what we really love is preserving people's voices and stories.
So if you're planning a celebration, shower, birthday, anniversary, corporate event, or another milestone, don't be afraid to think beyond the traditional guestbook!
